Abbots Bromley

The Full Story

Abbots Bromley is a jewel within the Midlands, a chocolate box village where the welcome is warm and hospitality aplenty, (well now that Dick Turpin no longer uses it as a coach stop anyway). We are a multi-award-winning historical village. It is best known for its historic annual “Horn Dance” held in early September, one of the oldest recorded medieval festivals in the world and a spectacle that brings in visitors from all over the world.

When it comes to food and drink Abbots Bromley has a superb variety, from The Infinitii Indian fusion restaurant and Antlers  Coffee House from breakfast & beyond to the four, yes four, pubs throughout the village. The Bagot Arms with their open fires and renowned “Steak Thursday”, The Goat's Head with its huge enclosed beer garden, kitchen takeovers and live music events, The Crown  is popular for watching all sports in the bar and their A La Carte menu in the restaurant and finally The Coach and Horses, with a sunny, traditional beer garden, sport, comedy and live music nights.

En route into the village, you will find Cobwebs Café at High Ash Farm, locally famous for its extraordinary homemade cakes, locally sourced coffee & wood-fired pizzas! Whilst you're there, there are a delightful collection of local businesses such as the award-winning butcher at The Pie shak, The Cheese Locker, High Ash Dairy, Not Just Gin & The Wine Cellar.  Also featuring Dolly & Joes, (our fabulous paint supplier) with an amazing array of gifts and décor items as well as gorgeous hand-painted furniture, Betsy & Bertie baby boutique, Old Chapel Candles, The Hair Hut, Lofthouse Antiques, Chappers Photography, The Emporium, I Can Equestrian as well as an array of country stores.

Last, but by no means least, is Top Shop (The Cash Stores). An incredibly friendly & helpful newsagents/village store. Tardis-like in its ability to stock pretty much everything you could need, our go-to on a daily basis.

We have two play parks in the village. One is located halfway up schoolhouse lane on the left-hand side for younger guests and another above the Infinitii towards the village hall.

The village also boasts Blithfield Sailing club & Abbots Bromley Sports Association.
